USAIFA Agro Allied is a sustainable agribusiness venture that optimizes the use of plant, animals and bacteria to produce bio diverse food and nutrient in an integrated cycle where the waste of one process becomes the feed stock for another process. We focus on the production of poultry, fisheries, snail, rabbits, animal feed and organic fertilizer from grass and poultry droppings.
Our farm ensures zero waste agriculture through vertical integration while providing jobs and training opportunities for the local community.
As the farming population in Nigeria continues to age with fewer youths choosing farming as an occupation, we focus on training rural farmers on agricultural innovation systems that help increase their productivity and improve livelihoods. In this regard, we have trained over 1000 young graduates on agricultural entrepreneurship in collaboration with the National Youth Service Corps in Keffi, Nigeria.
Through our Agric Link Foundation, we are currently training 500 rural farmers in Karshi community to cultivate 500 hectares of farm land in a sustainable
manner. Under our “Farmers in Suits” initiative, we provide rural farmers with seedlings and organic fertilizer; we also serve as anchor/major buyer of their farm produce as input for our feed mill. In this regard, we are working with the Greenseeder Hand Planter team of the Oklahoma State University, USA, to replicate and locally produce the hand planter for rural farmers in Nigeria.
